While Carrie and I were attending a performance of Syncopation at the MRT a couple of weekends ago, we learned about a very special upcoming professional production at Lowell High School’s Cyrus W. Irish Theater:
Where Elephants Weep, a bilingual (Khmer/English) contemporary opera in the style of Rent, is a love story about a Cambodian refugee returning to his homeland. It will have its world premier in Lowell on Friday, April 27, and should be absolutely spectacular. (Be sure to check out the promotional video!)
